Popeye is an owner surrender to Rescue due to a job relocation to the west coast. He's a small guy at 19 pounds with a beautiful coat and bright, inquisitive eyes. He's 6 years old, healthy, housetrained, crate trained, mild-mannered, and good with all the neighbors' children. He gets along great with the other 5 dogs in the house. He enjoys his daily walks and occasional "fetch session" at a nearby park (he goes after a tennis ball like a streak of lightening!).

He's good with a bath, likes to be brushed, knows "sit" (we're working on "stay"), rides great in the car, likes to play with other dogs, and walks well on leash although he does bark and get excited when he sees other dogs. He sleeps in his crate at night but I'm sure he would make a great bed partner because he's a quiet sleeper WHO DOESN'T SNORE!! He's been the perfect gentleman when he goes with us to a Sunday farmer's market. Popeye is a quiet, easy affectionate little guy - he wants to be next to you (not on you) and LOVES to snuggle right up close while sitting on the couch and will sometimes rest his head on your leg but doesn't climb up in your lap. He does give a few pug kisses.

He's not bothered by noise: thunderstorms and lightning, fireworks, home remodeling projects, vacuum cleaners. Popeye is a really nice little dog who hasn't caused an ounce of trouble since he's been with us and deserves a forever family of his own. He will do great as an only dog soaking up all the love and attention or as a companion for another small dog.
