My name is Chuckaluck and I am a 3 yr old fawn male weighing in at 14lbs. I came to rescue from a breeder with a whole bunch of other pugs. We were not in the greatest shape but we are all on the mend. I’m a smaller pug that should never weigh more than 17lbs. My mom weighed 15lbs fully grown so I come from some smaller stock. Rescue has had me fully vetted, neutered and I even had a dental. When I went to the vet they found that I had a hernia and that my nose openings were really small. So rescue also had my hernia repaired and had a nasal wedge done on my nose. The nasal wedge opens my nose holes so I can breathe easier. Because my nostrils were so small and I sounded horrible, rescue had the vet do an x-ray on my trachea and I was found to have a narrowing trachea. At this stage it is no biggie. With the right care it will never be an issue so it’s a good thing rescue found this early. All I require is a calmer home, grain free diet and an antihistamine. Nothing expensive- a whole years worth of the antihistamine costs a measly $21. I’m all sunshine and happiness in my foster home. I’m potty trained with the doggy door and I get along with the other fosters. I would though like a home with either a much older canine companion or a home as an only pug so I am not inclined to romp around. I am still learning my manners and have a habit of nibbling on little fingers to get attention. I’ll grow out of that but in the meantime its best I go to a home with no children under 5 yrs old. I’m looking for the “couch potato” life. I’m not one for long walks or playing fetch. If you looking for a pug to be a lap dog and to watch TV with… I’m you boy. Apply to adopt me today.
