Winston & Annabelle - #1107059 + #1107060

Hi I am Annabelle and I am a 11 year old fawn pug. Please don't be put off because of my age. My foster mom says I am just as active if not more so than my 3 year old foster brother and sister. I am so soft and am such a pretty lady. I am a great companion dog. I used to live with much older people until my "dad" got heart problems and became too much for our "mom". I love to sleep in bed whenever I can. Stuffed animals are my hobby. I am housebroken and walk very well on a leash. My foster mom says I am the type of pug that pug lovers want. According to her I am highly intelligent, loving and loyal. I need eye drops in my left eye twice a day, but other than that I am a low maintenance. I am ready for a forever home, but let me tell you about my lifelong friend Winston.

Winston and I have always been together, although we are not related. He is 12 years old. Our foster mom calls him handsome. He is much bigger than I am and needs eye ointment in both eyes twice a day. Winston relies on me. I am the more dominant personality. Winston talks more than I do. He has a hearty appetite. Winston is easy going and likes people and other pugs. He loves attention and sleeping on the couch. Winston use to be more active and spend more time outside. Our foster mom needs to take him to Dr. D for more x-rays of his abdomen. Dr. D thinks he has a foreign object or mass. He is on medical hold right now. But that doesn't mean you can't get your apps in for us!! Bye for now, Annabelle (Winston too)

UPDATE: We thought Winston may have a foreign object in his abdomen but after being evaluated, the vet says that he has digestion issues. He is not absorbing the nutrients in his food. He is on an antibiotic for 15 days along with enzymes and hopefully after this, he will show inprovement. Winston is a very easy going 12 year old, but is frantic and vocal about his food. He needs someone with a great deal of patience, who will let him nap on the couch and go out often. Annabelle continues to be a wonderful pug, but needs to be by herself or with only one other dog. She is so use to Winston's easy going nature and being the boss, that she sometimes clashes with my younger pugs. She is a great snuggler and would be a great companion to a woman or older couple. Annabelle has some stiffness in her front legs, but is wonderful for 11 years old. She is around 19 pounds.

Adoption Donation $200 for both of us

Bruha - #1207064

My name is Bruha and I am a 5 year old female. I'm very affectionate and looking for a forever home-filled with love and an abundance of edibles! Feeding times are my most important moments of each day. My foster parents think I have a built in alarm system that that triggers excitement and vocalizations. I am a special needs pug in the sense that I require daily medicine. It's not expensive and I am doing well since I've started my meds. I love to cuddle and never stray from my "people". I'm very easy going, I get along with other dogs or cats, and I am well-mannered.......except for meal times. I walk well on a leash and when off leash, I do not not stray. My foster parents say I have progressed greatly in house training skills and have become a great girl.

Frank (Frankie) - #208011

Well hello there! My name is Frank, I also answer to Frankie. I am a 9-10 year old male pug that was found by a wonderful pug lover. I was found out wandering the streets and this nice lady that found me did all she could to find my owner. Well, she did end up finding my owner but they told her that they didn't want me anymore. So, bless her heart, she took me in and is taking care of me while PROoF looks for a home for me. My foster mom says I am a cuddle puggies. I just love to be near you and cuddle! I sleep in bed with them at night. I get along great with my foster brother and sister. I love to play fetch, love to give kisses, kisses and more kisses. I walk well on a leash and my foster mom says I don't bark at other dogs when they walk by. If I can't be near my foster mom, I do whine a little bit to let them know that hey...got room on the couch next to you for me???

Bubbles - #208013

Hi there! My name is Bubbles and I am a sweet, gentle 4 year old girl. I love kids, pillows, laying in the sun, and just hanging out with the family. Unfortunately I have some problems with my knees and they pop out of joint when I bend them, making walking, housetraining, etc. painful. In spite of this I am still motivated to please and have done a wonderful job in learning to go outside, but you can see I have to gather my courage each time. I will probably need surgery to correct this problem and am being evaluated for this.

I've learned to play tug together with my 3 year old foster sister and we have a wonderful time together. I'm really a very easy dog in every way, all I want to do is be with you. I get along well with the other dogs and I go out of my way not to make waves. I'm a big favorite of the neighborhood kids and I am incredibly gentle with them.

Like most pugs, I am a big fan of soft things and will climb to the top of the highest mound of pillows and blankets on the bed that I can find and snuggle in there. I am also a typical pug around food, I just get so excited I can’t stand it. I've learned the routine in our house and love knowing what to expect. To sum it up, my foster family says I may be the sweetest pug they have ever met, and that’s saying something!

Sarah - #0308018

Hi Pug lovers! My name is Sarah. I am a 10 year old fawn female Pug. I am petite gal with a sweet face and even sweeter personality. I am 100% housebroken, spayed and up to date on my shots. Rub my belly and I will show you my impression of a little piggy. I do very well with other adult dogs and my foster sisters. I am not aggressive. I tend to keep to myself and follow my foster Mom everywhere! My minor medical issues have been all cleared up. Except for being a little hard of hearing I am very healthy. My favorite thing to do is to sit in my foster Mom’s lap and watch TV. So if I sound like the right couch potato for you, send in the applications. I would love to find my forever home.

Bella - #0308015

Hi everyone! My name is Bella and I am 7 years young. I came to Pug Rescue when my human parents fell on hard times. They loved me so much, they wanted to make sure I would be taken care of. I miss them alot, but my foster family is trying really hard to make sure I am not sad. When I came to Pug Rescue, I needed to be spayed and had a small cyst on my leg. The Dr. fixed me up and told my foster mom that the cyst was benign. I also had an ear infection, but that is all cleared up. The Dr. said I have floppy ears so they need to be checked and cleaned regularly to prevent more infections. Enough of that Medical junk, let's talk about me!! I am a real beauty. I know this because when people look at me they smile and tell me how cute I am. I am completely house broken. If I need to go out and the door is closed, I go to find my foster parents and bark at them until they take me out. I enjoy riding in the car, long walks on the beach, trips to the dog park, warm baths and unlimited amounts of rawhide chews and bully sticks. I don't care to sleep with my foster family, but I have my own bed and blanket right next to them. I will go in a crate if asked to, but my foster parents never put me in it. I know a bunch of tricks too!! I will sit, lay down, get down and high five on command. It helps if you give me some treats though. I can be vocal if you ignore me or if someone new comes to the house, but thats just because I want lots of attention. I really am a good girl and I am ready for my forever home!

Petey - #0408026

Hi my name is Petey. I am an 8 year old fawn male. My eyes dont really look so silly but some of the pics of us pugs makes our eyes look a little goofy. I actually grew up with Duncan (also on our site). Our Dad passed away and our mom was unable to take care of us so here we are. I am pretty laid back but I do like to run and play for a short time (remember Im a pug!). I love to lay behing you and warm up your back no matter where you are sitting. I sleep with my foster mom. I am totally house trained, I walk on a leash well, LOVE to ride in the car and I even come when I am called. I do not chew things. I love other dogs and my job when I am near is to clean their faces and ears! I am very lovable but Im not too demanding about it. Think you may be interested in an awesome pug like me? Get those apps filled out fast. I plan to find my forever home faster than you can say Pug Boot Scoot Boogie!

Duncan - #0408027

Hello my name is Duncan. I am a fawn 8 year old male. I am very calm and quiet for a pug.I love to be petted and I want to sleep next to my foster parents at night. I am house broken, but I did mark when I went to my foster home. I do not like water but I will let you give me a bath, although its not my favorite thing. I really prefer men and my foster parents think I was very attached to the man that had me previously. I instantly took to my foster dad but it took me several days until I warmed up to my foster mom. I get along great with my foster sisters and brother. I am set in my way for an older gentleman pug. I dont like anyone messing with my chewy but I only growl about it to let you know to find your own. My foster moms says I am like a cat... I do my own thing until I want attention.

Chester

I am one of those relatively rare silver pugs and I am humongous -- 35 pounds!  I am 7 years old and very gentle.  I get along well with everyone -- and other dogs, too.  I am used to having someone home with me all day and really need that security and companionship.  I lost my eyesight suddenly in the last three months but this hasn't slowed me down.  I go down my foster mom's front porch steps lickety-split!  I get along very well with everyone but I am used to being with a loving adult so I am looking for a loving home with at least one adult who will stay home with me during the day.

Dexter

I am "the perfect little Pug" literally!!! I am 5 years old and lived all my life with one family who took very good care of me. However, I had two big dog friends who lived with me, too;  we played a lot and they accidentally damaged both my eyes so I don't have sight now.  HOWEVER, I am very resourceful and adapted very well to my foster mom's home AND my favorite trick is to pull blankets, clothes, etc., down off chairs for me to lie on!  My foster mom still hasn't figured out how I know where these things are!  I have lots of energy and am always ready for anything!  I get along well with children and other animals but with my blindness, it would probably be better for me not to try to live with small children.  I have a zest for life and I would like to spend it with you!

Pepe

NOTE: This pug is available through Southeast Pug Rescue & Adoption

 South East Pug Rescue

Greetings to all you puggle (pug/beagle mix) lovers out there in SEPRA-land. My name is Pepe and I'm a four year old neutered male who was born in Alabama and found my way to my Florida foster home with the help of some great SEPRA volunteers. I'm a true southern gentleman...with the emphasis on 'gentle' man. I'm a honey color with dark ears and mask. In August my leg was broken and the bone didn't respond well to treatment, so on December 10 my leg was amputated. During the healing period I never used the injured limb so after the surgery there was no recovery time beyond sutures. I manage really well with three legs!!!

I'm looking for a forever home with ladies...something happened in my past that left me fearful of men. Not aggressive but definitely fearful. I'm a bit shy but it only took a few days to attach myself to my foster mom. I'm a real cuddler. I sleep in a crate and love my walks outside on a leash. While a fenced yard would be wonderful...I could manage being walked around the neighborhood. I play well with my foster pug siblings here and they have a cat. The cat stays out of everyone's way but when we cross paths...I'm fine with her.

My only extraordinary need is that I have to be on a special dog food. I get half a can twice daily with dry food in between.

I'm a sweet gentle soul and will make someone a perfect companion.
